BCS, a unique nonprofit organization, was created by a multitude of partners for the express purpose of integrating service delivery for workforce development operations. BCS goals support business growth by connecting employers to a well-prepared labor force, cultivating strong work-preparation skills, and empowering job seekers with information and guidance to make informed decisions leading to permanent, long-term work in high-demand, high-wage occupations.

Through award-winning models like the Manufacturing Careers Internship Program (MCIP), sector-based career pathways programming, innovative job seeker volunteer engagement through projects like “EDGE,” and groundbreaking initiatives like Human Centered Design (HCD), BCS consistently provides inspiring, creative, and flexible, customer-centered solutions.

  • Full services to job seekers, including job placement, WIOA training support, career guidance, workshops, sector-based approaches, computer classes, job clubs, networking & more.

Individuals with Disabilities

Our Ticket to Work Program supports career development for people receiving Social Security Disability benefits.  As part of the certified Employment Network, this free program provides access to career resources necessary to succeed in today’s workforce.

  • Deliver career counseling including review of benefits and incentives in returning to work.
  • Connect to community resource information, support services and referrals.
  • Assist with job search and job placement.
  • Give guidance and advocacy regarding reasonable accommodations.
  • Provide ongoing support for successful job retention.

Internships for 18-24 year olds

The Manufacturing Careers Internship Program (MCIP) provides young adults an opportunity to earn money while gaining first-hand knowledge of careers in manufacturing and related industries. This opens the door to a stable, high paying career.

  • Deliver personalized employment and career counseling.
  • Help target resumes and strengthen interview skills.
  • Provide work readiness training, paid internship, job placement and support.
  • Offer OSHA Safety Training & Forklift Operation and Safety Certification.
  • Supply work boots, tools, transportation, and other work-related items.
  • Access to job-related and career training grants.
